About a world
Made from my imagination.

We’ll begin
With some winds

Some factual situations

With the golden ticket in hand we were back to the league. 11 excited boys and girls all ready to face IC2s (the extended edition). What we soon found out this was no chocolate factory, it would be more like a watery amphitheater. Welcome to the Shadwell Colosseum!

The whistle blew and the fighters were out of their cages. We started strong, showing strength and persistence. Great assists were made through good awareness and clear communication. This left us with amazing start ending the quarter 6-4 up.

We could tell there were additions to this team which would make this match a tight battle. We got a little loser which wasn’t ideal but quickly got our head back in the game. Unfortunately with a shallow end goal wide enough to fit the HMS Belfast through, the odds were stacked against us. That granted, with some co goaling thrown in there, we ended the quarter 8-6 up.

Like fresh jeans and clothes after Christmas, it was tight and kind of uncomfortably meaning we needed to get some distance between the scores. This quarter was like none before. The press was so tight it made cat woman’s outfit look something out of a old school 90’s hip hop video. After only conceding one goal in the whole quarter we couldn’t have asked for anything better! We did great in attack as well with 3 more goals for Blackwell.

Well this is when Storm Ciara came in and rocked the balance, this and the arch de triumph as a goal to defend, things got scary. We were exhausted from a full press game and it started to show. But with a final goal from our man from Malta balance was restored. We ended on a tie 12-12.

They were the hardest opposition we faced to date. With all the work that was put in by the Blackwell Team, with amazing feats of strength, team work and to see the growing confidence, it truly was amazing to see. You guys make me proud every time I step out on pool side and this game has hopefully shown you how far we’ve come from the start.

It’s not over yet, with 3 more league matches and the cup I’m sure y’all will keep doing bigger and better things.

A proud and emotionally drained captain
