LUSL London vs ICSM2s - 6/12/2020+1 (A)

BLWP 10- 2 ICSM2s

At long last the time had come for the most highly anticipated event of the year thus far. LUSL London meets ICSM2s, Mark meets Zelah.

On a cold wintery night, we trekked on down to Ethos ready to show off the strongest of LUSL 1A mentalities. The classic Imperial antics started from the get-go starting with 14 players with hats on.

Nevertheless we had the upper hand from the beginning, our dominance and authenticity glowing. Lumpfish was unstoppable on the counter attack and after a pin-point perfect pass from Helsinki, absolutely slotted one in top bins. It was then Tadpole Alex time to shine with a huge spinning shot to put us 2-0 up.

We went into the 2nd quarter ready to consolidate our lead - and that we did. With Tadpole Abi continuously ahead of her man, making breaks left, right and centre, we were fully in their heads. Despite 2 missed penalties by Lumpfish and Tadpole Alex (which he'll blame on a hydrophobic ball), we entered the 3rd quarter with a 6-0 lead!

With some formidable and impenetrable defence from Tadpole Mack and Tadpole Alfie combined with a huge penalty save by Water Aid, we were on a roll. Tadpole Chere repeatedly stole the ball from her man providing Miracle-Flo with a 1 on 1 in front of goal. Alas the world's smoothest and slippiest ball struck again - never mind, we ended the quarter 8-1 up!

Feeling comfortable in the final quarter, Cutty Shark showed off his years of experience both through his exemplar attempts at drawing the foul (shame the ref was blind) and his calm and collected penalty driven home - no biggie. Barnacle added to our tally with a stunner before Lumpfish decided to start another game of fudgecake with the ref, calling him what we think QM are a bunch of. Full time: 10-2 to The London.
