BLWP 17 - 11 KCL

Our streak of 5 games begins with a WIN against KCL!

8 guys showed up wearing blue hats and stumbled into the pool, demanding a game. Our 12 gentlemen arrived wearing all but ties to meet expectations and deliver asses on silver platters.

It was a very physical game from start to finish. Backs were scratched, wrists were slapped and phalluses were hanging loose. The game was paused briefly for Jono to get told off for being a big ol' meanie, which was emphasised when an opposing player remarked 'He does this every year'. Jono, keep doing what u're doing xx

Major fouls were also a running theme with us conceding 8 [2 on me, 2 Liam, Hughes, Jono and Marco each had 1], and them conceding 5 - some sort of record. Fortunately no one was sent off this time. Our man-downs are much better than what they were in the beginning of the year but ways from what they should be. Same with our man-ups on attack. We need to get crisper and quicker on those.

Other than that the score was nail-biting close, with the first and second quarter both ending on a draw (3-3 and 6-6). By the end of the 3rd quarter onwards we showed strength in numbers and really pulled away to end on a very respectable 17 - 11 WIN against KCL.

A win's a win, and I am not trying to take anything from that, but we need to think about playing with a bit more passion and a bit more aggression to really get competitive against teams like LSE and UCL.
