Weekly Update 1 - 12/10/2020
Hello everyone and good morning,
Today marks the return of the weekly updates! Now that training is officially underway once again and more socials are on the horizon, these regular updates will be back to keep you all in the loop.
Thursday sees us back in the pool at Poplar for what will be our third training session of the year, led by coach James, 8:30-10:00. Training is extremely important to attend this term as it’s a great opportunity to get ourselves ready for next term’s matches. Safety is also paramount, so please read my post on the Facebook group explaining how training works this term if you haven’t already. Attendance is compulsory if you’re expecting to play next term – team captains will be looking at attendance and you won’t be able to play matches if your attendance this term is poor!
Sunday training is not on for seniors – this is our freshers taster session! This will be led by committee and attended by freshers only. If you know any freshers who are interested or keen to try out, pass the information on! The session will be 3:30-5:00.
There are no social plans this week – but keep your eyes peeled for an event going up for next week (more info on this very soon!), the social sex are hard at work organising this.
SENIORS – The time has come to pay SUBS! These can be bought on the QMSU water polo page and are of course mandatory if you intend to train and play matches this year.
Also for seniors – if any of you missed the opportunity to buy a TIE at AGM last year, you may now do so. These cost £15, please message Liam P for details on how to pay, I will then bring your tie along to training. We have currently run out of bow ties and will be sourcing more of these ASAP.
Watery wet love,
