Weekly Update 11 - 13/01/2019
Hello everyone,
Welcome back to the first weekly update of 2019! Hope everyone’s had a good break and is gearing to get stuck back into it! Massive week to get your teeth stuck into.
Monday sees the return of our Coach, as he whips us back into shape at our Shadwell fortress at the usual 9:15pm start. He has big plans for Monday sessions for this term, with our new training restricting, so this is definitely not one to miss!
Wednesday is one of the biggest days of the year. We begin the day with our favourite combo of S&C and Women’s Fitness, before we turn our attention to our blockbuster event of the year. Water Polo’s Barts to the London Pub Crawl will commence at 6pm sharp at the Rising Sun in Barbican. This is the one event of the year we open our doors to other clubs to get involved in our sensational socials, so bring your mates from other clubs down for what was my favourite night of 1st year hands down. All you need is £1 and a mate to tie yourself to for the night, all other info on the FB event. Dawson freshers it’s right next door, bring your flat mates along and show them what we’re all about.
We start rehab, from what will be a ferociously enthusiastic night no doubt, with our crucial Thursday training sessions at Mile End pool 5:30-6:30pm. Please meet at 5:15pm so we have plenty of time to get poolside. Please also let your respective captain know if you’re coming!
Just because we haven’t seen enough of each other this week, on Friday we’ll be making our return to Laird Hall, as we enjoy the always entertaining Strictly Come Dancing. Our very own Tadpole Becky and Eelpout will be performing, and no doubt we’ll make our way down to our beloved Griff for a few after.
We end the week with a match- the Men host Essex on Sunday, so no training for the Women unfortunately. This is set to be a pivotal match for the leaderboards, so the Men would really appreciate any and all support! Let’s av it
