Weekly Update 3 - 12/09/2020+1

Hello everyone, well another week has flown by and we are now halfway through our pre-season schedule with only 2x weeks left until we can finally get back to playing some water polo once again. We had a packed week last week and next week is no different. With a huge turnout at swimming on Thursday (17, which I think is a pre-season record) and our successful return to The Griff on Wednesday, I hope to see more of you joining us as we get closer to the start of term!

I know you are probably sick of them by now, but here are the upcoming dates for your diary:

  • Wednesday 15th September = Senior Curry and Tables

  • Wednesday 22nd September = Fresher Curry and Tables

  • Sunday 26th September = Fresher Taster Session (NO SENIORS)

  • Monday 27th September = FIRST SESSION FOR SENIORS

The Pre-Orders for BL Swimming hats closes TODAY (Sunday 12th). Please send your monies to:

  • Mr Liam E Nicholson

  • 60-05-13

  • 25086200

If you want a swimming hat after today, they will cost £6 rather than the pre-order price that they are now which is £4. The hats should be arriving on the week of 20th September which is very exciting!

As our events keep piling on and you probably get bored of reading weekly updates, the best way to make sure you never miss anything is to download our Google Calendar. Tadpole Chloe ensures that this is constantly updated so check it out to help keep your life nice and organised. Weekly Schedule

Monday 13th September – After being usurped last Thursday, Barnacle is back with vengeance to lead our first OLYMPIC session at the OLYMPIC Pool (London Aquatic Centre) at 7pm.

Wednesday 15th September – Piscivore and Miracle-Flo hope you can join them and the other club veterans for the annual senior curry at 5pm at Aladin. Will be a great chance to chat to everyone before next week’s pandemonium starts. We will then be making the famed walk to The Griff for Tables. With a turnout already expected to exceed 20, this is not one to miss.

Thursday 16th September – Anglerfish takes up her role of hangover curer once again as she has a juicy session lined up for us on Thursday at Mile End at 7pm to wash away the woes of the night before.

Saturday 18th September – Lumpfish takes us for land training on Saturday morning at Viccy Park, 9.30am start, don’t be late… (I promise there won’t be much running)

Have a fab week all, looking forward to another belter.

Watery Wet Love,

Lumpfish xxxx
